Why Organic?

There are numerous benefits to going organic.

Organic food is better for you and your family. Organic fruit and vegetables contain more nutrients and less pesticide residues and additives. Health benefits of food produced organically are recognised by the World Health Organisation.

Organic growing methods benefit the environment. Less leaching of chemicals to help keep our waterways clean. Soil management helps to stop soil loss and degradation. Good mulching requires less water. Organic gardens produce less of the global warming gas carbon dioxide.

Organic gardening offers the solutions our world needs as the energy crisis kicks in after the cheap oil runs out. Conventional gardening relies on enormous inputs of oil and is unsustainable.

Organic gardening begins with looking after the soil. When we care for the soil we can create a bountiful garden - one that will flourish into the future.
